My version of the classic nacho cheese. This vegan nacho cheese sauce has a more garlicky and smokey flavour. I add garlic powder and smoked paprika to it and I literally make this sauce every.single.weekend! Yess!
A lifesaver during the week
It has the same basis as all the other vegan nacho cheeses, cooked potato and carrots. Try to get potatoes for boiling. I found that the ones or frying do not work so well. Once you have the cooked veggies, this sauce is made in zero coma nothing. Add everything to the food processor, blend and enjoy. This vegan nacho cheese is such a lifesaver during the busy week. Whenever you feel a bit hungry just grab some veggies or a piece of bread, nacho cheese on it and yum, a perfect, nourishing snack.
Goes well with everything
We use this sauce for so many things. With traditional nachos, with veggie sticks or… and this was a big discovery: on top of some vegan bolognese sauce with spaghetti! It makes everything so much smoother & creamier, you should definitively try this out. If we do not have time to cook it happened already on so many days that we just boil some pasta, take a glass of store-bought tomato sauce and add this nacho cheese sauce to it. Such a great combo, you’ll love it! We do also use it in combination with the mushrooms in smokey miso-marinade with sundried tomatoes or the Tempeh-Veggie-Burgers. Of course it would also be the perfect dip for the spicey oven-roasted potato wedges. As you can see, there are infinite options for this smokey sauce!
